We’re in Modica Alta—the most authentic, peaceful part of this UNESCO-listed Baroque city. Our windows look out over the 18th-century Church of Santa Teresa, and in summer, our outdoor tables rest on the polished stone of its churchyard—an intimate corner of beauty.

Centrally located in southeastern Sicily, we’re just a short drive from Ragusa and easily reached from Siracusa or Catania via the Siracusa–Gela motorway. Come for an aperitivo or a laid-back light dinner, the kind where you cast off the day and simply enjoy the night.

We come from the culinary world, so we know how to match wine and food. Our plates—perfect for an aperitivo or light dinner—are designed with flavors, textures, and balanced nutrients that enhance the tasting experience.

Rappa was founded by Giancarlo Antoci—over twenty years of experience in kitchens and cellars, a lifetime of winery visits, harvests, vinifications, relationships with top producers, a weakness for iconic bottles, and an instinct for spotting young winemakers who would later become legends. Giancarlo is a guarantee, always moving between tables, listening, advising, and learning—over and over again.

The team is just as passionate: Ciccia, whose wine knowledge matches her love for beer; Christopher, the embodiment of warm hospitality and a stickler for perfectly made cocktails; and Meno—always present, though unseen—working magic in the kitchen with skill, quality ingredients, creativity, and rock music.
